I couldn't say this wasn't the first thing I thought of doing every since I got here. An english nightclub, something I never experienced before. I guessed it wasn't that far from korean nightclubs, but I couldn't wait to meet new people, try new things. I dressed in a simple buttoned up shirt and jeans and said goodbye to my host family. It wasn't the best. The children in this house were kings and the parents were completely overruled. Last night, they wanted to have ice cream for dessert, and the parents never even thought about saying no. I was cool with that, however, since I loved ice cream. I went out and took the bus to go downtown and see where I could go. I felt slightly lost, listening to all these persons talking in a language I was not really fluent in yet. I kept thinking they looked at me because they knew I came from another country, far away. Anyway, anyone could guess I wasn't from here when I started talking. My accent was awful, and that was one of the reasons I went here. I found this nightclub, who was located in an old church and went in. I instantly felt in my place, the music raging, people dancing, drinking, the smell of sweat and perfume. I went to the bar and ordered a shot to get me started. I didn't know what to do. I never went to this kind of place alone. I had to meet someone. I turned my head and saw that someone was sitting right beside me. « Hey ! » I said with a smile, hoping she wouldn't turn me down.

22h dernière vidéo montée et publiée. Parfait. Prochaine mission, tenter de faire une vidéo 100% en anglais. C'était pas gagné mais j'espérais y arriver assez rapidement. Quoiqu'il en soit pour ce soir, j'en avais fini avec ça. Mais 22h, c'était encore un peu tôt pour aller se coucher. C'est pourquoi je décidais d'aller prendre l'air, déambuler dans les rues et qui sait, pourquoi pas s'arrêter dans un bar ou une boite de nuit. Après tout, il n'est jamais trop tôt pour tester les soirées anglaises. A voir si c'est mieux ou non que les soirées polonaises, si la bière est aussi bonne, si les gens étaient aussi cools. En moins de temps qu'il ne faut pour le dire, j'enfilais une jupe, un chemisier je pris mon sac à main et direction la rue. Au bout de quelques minutes de marche, je me retrouvais devant une ancienne église, visiblement devenue une discothèque vu le nombre de jeunes qui se trouvaient devant. Je choisis alors d'aller voir ce qu'il se passait à l'intérieur. Bonne musique a priori, même si elle m'était encore inconnue. Des gens qui dansent. Des gens qui boivent. Machinalement, je m'installais au bar et commanda une bière. Je me doutais qu'elle n'allait pas avoir le même goût qu'en Pologne, mais bon. On sait jamais, je pourrais être agréablement surprise. Ou pas. Je grimaçais après avoir bu la première gorgée. Cette bière n'avait rien à voir avec ce que j'avais l'habitude de boire en Pologne. Puis au bout de quelques instants je fus sortie de mes pensées par un jeune homme. « Hi ! » Je souris. Pour une fois, je mis ma timidité de coté et me présenta « I'm andreja »  La seule chose que j'espérais à cet instant, c'était être capable de comprendre l'anglais malgré du bruit ambiant.

She did not ignore me, good point. And she seemed quite nice, seeing the way she smiled at me. I immediately smiled back. Andreja. I could not, for the life of me, say where this girl was from. And that was the beauty of the program : I would meet people from all over the world. « Hi Andreja ! Nice to meet you. I'm Seong. Where are you from ? That's not a name I knew existed. » I wasn't sure about my english but what the hell, she probably knew I wasn't from here. I had a thick korean accent -if she could guess what it was-, and I had a hard time making myself understood. The music was loud and it was quite difficult to speak, I brought my chair closer to hers and bent to talk in her ear. « I guess it's not the perfect place to talk. But we can dance, if you want to .. » He knew he was quite good at that and wasn't ashamed to show it. Nevertheless, he wasn't here to show off. He knew it wasn't the best thing to make friends or to appear like a nice guy. He was a nice guy, right ? Not always, but he did his best. « I'm from Korea by the way. South Korea of course. If you did not guess. »
